Within the last few weeks, the group heads of Asset Protection and Executry, Peter Shand and Andrew Paterson were named as Recommended Tax Lawyers in the annual Spear’s 2023 Tax Lawyers Index; and Chambers UK ranked Murray Beith Murray’s Rural group for ‘Agriculture & Rural Affairs’ and Rural group head, Andrew Linehan.

The Legal 500 UK 2024 recently recognised the firm as a Tier 2 legal practice for ‘Personal tax, trusts and executries’, ‘Contentious trusts and probate’ and ‘Agriculture and Estates’, one of the few Scottish private client law firms to be acknowledged in the top two tiers for all three core practice areas. Individually, Partner, Andrew Linehan, and, Senior Partner, Ruthven Gemmell were ranked as Leading Individuals; and Partners, Peter Shand and Andrew Paterson as Recommended Lawyers.

Earlier in the year, the practice was recognised by Chambers HNW Guide 2023 for 'Private Wealth Law', and Partners, Peter Shand and Andrew Paterson were also individually ranked by Chambers.
