About:

Jill Andrew leads the firm’s Property and Estate Agency Group and specialises in residential conveyancing. She has extensive experience in buying and selling properties across Scotland, particularly for high-net-worth clients, and a strong working knowledge of English residential conveyancing.

Jill works closely with the firm’s in-house Estate Agency team, which manages property marketing. With detailed knowledge of the Scottish property market, she provides clear, practical and commercially aware advice.

Jill is Chair of the Edinburgh Conveyancers Forum, a Scottish Conveyancers Forum committee member, a non-executive Director of the Edinburgh Solicitors Property Centre (ESPC), and a member of the Law Society of Scotland Property Law Committee. She also tutors at the University of Edinburgh on the postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and Trainee CPD Ethics courses.

Jill provides expert reports to law firms and insurers on conveyancing matters and is one of the authors of the current Scottish Standard Clauses (Edition 6).

Jill contributed to the Scottish Law Commission’s recent report on tenement law and compulsory owners’ associations and is co-chair of the Scottish Government Conveyancing Review Working Group.
