Lewis Gibson is a Senior Solicitor in Murray Beith Murray’s Rural Property team. He joined the firm in December 2024 after relocating to Edinburgh from his native New Zealand.
Lewis holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (History) from the University of Canterbury (2018) and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2019. He gained several years’ experience at a full-service law firm in Christchurch, advising on a wide range of residential and commercial conveyancing, trust law, and asset protection matters. His work included acting for first-home buyers and assisting with subdivisions and developments across Canterbury and wider New Zealand.
Lewis re-qualified in Scotland in 2026 and now advises on all aspects of rural property, including the sale and purchase of farms, estates, forestry, and land, with a particular focus on voluntary land registration.
