Alec is a Partner within the firm’s Asset Protection Group and advises clients on succession, inheritance and tax planning. He works with a wide range of clients, including estate and landowners, providing advice on tax-efficient planning, trusts, partnerships and corporate structures.

Alec has significant experience in wills, trusts, executries and powers of attorney, and regularly supports clients with the practical and legal aspects of planning for the future. He is dual-qualified in both Scottish and English law, enabling him to advise clients with cross-border interests. Alec is also qualified and regulated to offer financial advice.

He is known for his clear, measured advice and his ability to explain complex legal and tax issues in a practical and accessible way. Alec is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer in The Legal 500 UK.
