Established musicians should give full details of what the financial assistance is for e.g. concerts/travel etc. Brief details of previous career would be helpful.
Applicants requiring assistance for specialist tuition or travel costs for attending music courses etc. (not ordinary course fees) should also (if possible) send two references from tutors. Subject to individual circumstances and availability of funds, the Trustees offer outright grants for this.
The Trust has ceased to give funding for the purchase of musical instruments except in very exceptional or highly recommended cases. Anyone requiring to purchase a musical instrument may still apply to the Trust and, subject to availability of funds and consideration of references given etc., the Trustees may offer interest-free loans to help fund the purchase of an instrument.
Otherwise, any project with a "musical" purpose/context will be considered on production of full details.
